Well , folks , we made it . Whether you ’ re reading this as someone who ’ s looking to get hitched or as someone who helps others get hitched , you are well aware that it ’ s been a trying couple of years for the wedding world . Yet despite the lockdowns and the restrictions and the uncertainty , the industry remained optimistic and resilient . And though it ’ s still unclear if things will ever truly go back to “ normal ,” we do know , without doubt , that love always prevails . That ’ s why , after our own year hiatus from publishing , we could not be more eager to share our 2022 issue of Engaged in Southern New England with you . Our tips and trends section ( page 21 ) is chock full of wisdom from local industry experts and looks forward to the bright future of weddings in Southern New England while the refreshed venue guide ( page 35 ) is primed with recommendations for any and every vision . Meanwhile , the pandemic unexpectedly inspired two of our favorite articles : an ode to micro weddings ( page 63 ) and a styled shoot featuring three whimsical , wanderlustfueled wedding themes ( page 71 ). And then , as always , we still have lots of local love to showcase , including weddings pre- , pending and post the strictest of the pandemic lockdowns . So , no matter your matrimony plans , we ’ re confident that this issue will make you even more excited to be engaged in Southern New England .
