The Meet Cute : We found a diamond in the rough on Tinder !
The Engagement : Katelyn tried very hard to keep it a secret , but I saw it coming from a mile away . In October , we went for a nice weekend trip to Quechee , Vermont , with our best friends Jill and Melissa . One of our stops was at the VINS Nature Center which has a very cool canopy climb with gorgeous views above the trees ( which were at peak fall foliage ). Once we made it to the top , Katelyn got down on one knee and popped the big question !
The Plans : Wedding plans are slowly but surely coming along ! Neither of us are big “ Pinterest Planner ” types , but our biggest must-haves that we booked right away were a great photographer ( Emily Crenca Photography ) and DJ ( Rich from Lime Lite Weddings ). We do have a big passion for cocktails , hors d ’ oeuvres and dessert , so we ’ re looking to start making final decisions on those soon . We chose different shades of blue for the bridal parties , and with the wedding being in Mystic , we will probably go for a nautical , typical New England vibe . We ’ re most looking forward to a night of celebration and dancing with our closest family and friends ! Without sounding like a cliche , we ’ re also excited to start building a family together and working to give our
