THEIR MEET-CUTE: Noah and Nicole are proof that age is but a number when
it comes to love. They met as pre-teens when their two Massachusetts-based
towns joined forces to become one middle/high school and then began dating
at the end of their freshman year. They’ve been together ever since.
THEIR PROPOSAL STORY: Seven-and-a-half years into their relationship, the
couple drove up to Maine for a cozy, romantic New Year’s weekend at Noah’s
family lake house. “When we pulled up, I saw a garland of blue and white twin-
kling lights on my favorite wooden swing,” Nicole recalls. “I thought it was so
sweet that his family had decorated to make it look like there were year-round
residents.” In reality, Noah had driven up the day before — during a snow-
storm — to set the scene. He insisted that Nicole leave everything in the car,
and then: “He took my hand and walked me over to the swing; we sat under
the lights and he asked me to be his partner-in-crime and best friend forever.”
T H E I R W E D D I N G: “The best parts of planning were the nights we spent
laughing about some detail we were trying to fi gure out, or the hours we got
sidetracked while trying to fi nd must-play songs for our DJ (we listened to
everything from Akon to Pearl Jam),” Nicole says. “The worst was the
research stage; we are big planners and we wanted to make the best decisions
for us and our families.” It certainly appears as though they made the right
choices though: The two held their fun-fi lled occasion at Zukas Hilltop Barn
in Spencer, Massachusetts on September 3, 2017. ◆

were less about save-the-dates and more about making a
