The Alliance is a new organisation comprising all 25 licensed UK Sector Skills Councils( SSCs), the employer-driven organisations that together articulate the voice of approximately 85 % of the UK’ s workforce on skills issues.

Its core purpose is to:

l Act as the collective voice of the Sector Skills Councils
l Promote understanding of the role of SSCs within the skills system across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland
l Co-ordinate policy positions and strategic work on skills with stakeholders across the four home nations
l Help build the performance capability of the Sector Skills Councils, to ensure they continue to work effectively on the employer-driven skills agenda
EU Skills
Energy & Utility Skills is the Sector Skills Council for the electricity, gas, waste management and water industries. Sector: ENERGY WASTE & UTILITIES SECTORS Website: www. euskills. co. uk
Financial Services

GoSkills
GoSkills is an employer-led organisation, representing the Passenger Transport Industries that operate throughout the UK. They help employers and operators improve their business performance by developing staff skills and advising on issues such as funding opportunities, training providers and training tools. Government Skills
Government Skills is the Sector Skills Council for central government. Their overall purpose is to improve the delivery of public services by working with employers to reduce skills gaps. They cover all civil servants in departments and agencies( including those in the devolved administrations and the Northern Ireland Civil Service); staff in nondepartmental government bodies not already affiliated to another SSC( around 60,000 staff); and the Armed Forces.
