Dear BAME Business Owner
The UK is home to 250,000 Black, Asian and minority ethnic( BAME) owned enterprises. It is estimated that 66,000 of these businesses operate in London alone. The reality is that no Government office or public sector organisation has definitive figures on the number of BME enterprises in the UK. Engage has built a database to capture the size *, location and turnover * of these businesses primarily to gather factual evidence of BAME enterprises and secondly to use our collective power to challenge and influence the procurement policies and procedures of larger UK establishments. We will be working with other organisations to capture this information, but we can only do this with your help.
