London Better Together
Business
Committed to
Action
London is one of the most successful cities in the world, but will only remain so if business takes action!
“
London is forecast to grow by one million people by 2026, will host the Olympic Games in 2012 and is the most popular European location for a business HQ. However, at the same time it has the highest proportion of people in the UK out of work, unsustainable levels of pollution and waste and a widening gap between rich and poor.
London Better Together is designed to encourage and support London businesses, however large or small, to make London a better place to live, work and do business.
We have identified four areas for action; Environment, Workplace, Community and Marketplace. To help you we have provided examples in each of these areas so you can recognise existing actions and commit to new ones.
Harry Platt, Chief Executive, Workspace Group said:
London Better Together provides a very clear and simple call for action which is relevant to businesses of all sizes. We can all unite behind this to make a difference.
“
Signing up to the Charter is free and will offer:
• reductions in costs with simple money saving actions
• increased competitiveness
• improvements in the working environment
• networking opportunities with other businesses and partner organisations
• information and advice to support each of the actions
• a forum to record and publicise good works
• promotional opportunities via a roll of honour and case studies
