Microsoft

This Junior Achievement Job Shadow field trip will be taking students who are interested in business, marketing, and computer science to the Microsoft store in the Westfarms mall. This is an opportunity to learn more about what makes Microsoft so successful. The trip is on March 31 st and permission slips are due back to the Career Center by March 20 th.

Investment Presentations

The Career Center will be hosting a speaker from the 360 Federal Credit Union. Presentations will be made to all math classes about the knowledge needed to make smart investment choices. This will taking place on April 21 st and 24 th.

ACC Business Exploration Day

On April 4 th Asnuntuck Community College is hosting a day for students to network with representatives from The FBI, LEGO, Town of Enfield, Eastern States Exposition, and The Springfield Thunderbirds. Students will get to sample a college level business class and meet with admissions counselors from 4-year schools. ShopRite will be accepting part-time applications during lunch. Permission slips are due March 28 th.

Sports and Entertainment Careers at Hartford Yard Goats

This field trip is for students who are looking for a career in the sports industry. There will be guest speakers such as exathletes, professional coaches, sports journalists, and members of the Yardgoats front office to explain the different directions they have taken in the sports industry. Students will have the opportunity to watch a portion of a Yardgoats game after the seminar. The trip takes place on May 10 th and permission slips can be picked up in the Career Center.
