GOLF BEGINNER (Thursday) Pleasant View Golf Park - 110 North St., Enfield Fee $109 – 4 sessions – 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. Jeff Wadsworth, Former Golf Instructor of Ellington Golf Center No Surcharge, No Senior Discount Class begins Sept. 17 This class is designed for the new golfer who wants to learn correctly from the start. We will concentrate on the basic fundamentals of the full swing; including grip, posture, stance, and alignment. (Practice balls are paid by participant) GOLF INTERMEDIATE (Saturday) Pleasant View Golf Park, 110 North St., Enfield Fee $149 – 4 sessions - 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Jeff Wadsworth, Former Golf Instructor of Ellington Golf Center No Surcharge, No Senior Discount Class begins Sept. 19 This class is for the experienced golfer who is serious about playing better golf by developing a more solid all around game. Upon completion of this class you will not only have a much better understanding of the full swing and how to strike the golf ball more solidly and consistently, but you will also develop skill and confidence with the other parts of the game, such as chipping, pitch shots, sand play, and recovery shots. Class size is limited to 5 students. (Practice balls are paid by participant) New SELF-DEFENSE CLASS (Monday) Enfield Annex – 5 sessions – 2nd Floor Library Fee $50 – 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. - Joel Kupeyan Class begins – Sept. 14 (Class will only be held onsite) This is a basic self defense course, teaching techniques that can be utilized to defend yourself. It will incorporate everything from strikes and blocks, to distraction techniques and other movements. Strike pads and strike bags will be used in the course, no mats will be needed for this course. Students will come out of this course with knowledge of what techniques to use, and with the confidence that they will be able to defend themselves if ever needed. The instructor teaches defensive tactics for Law Enforcement. YOGA ALL LEVELS (Monday) Enfield Annex – Library (Lower Level) Fee $90 – 10 sessions – 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Michele Bigda, Certified Yoga Instructor Class begins Sept. 14 (Class will be held onsite or online) This yoga class will offer a balance of breath awareness, stamina, and flexibility to the body and mind. Classes will offer clear instruction and assistance on all aspects of the yoga poses. We will progress towards a deeper practice with a better understanding on how yoga connects your mind with your body fused with gratitude and love. Bring a yoga mat and blanket and wear comfortable clothes. Yoga is best practiced with bare feet! YOGA AFTERNOON (Tuesday) Enfield Annex – Library Lower Level Fee $135 – 15 sessions – 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Jack Fila, Certified Kripalu Yoga Instructor Class begins Sept. 15 (Class will only be held onsite) This basic yoga class is appropriate for all fitness levels. No prior yoga experience is required. Learn basic stretching and breathing techniques that will enable you to become more relaxed while strengthening your muscles and improving your overall flexibility. Bring a yoga mat, bottle of water and wear comfortable clothing.
