General Educational Development( GED ®)
The GED ® is a state and internationally recognized high school equivalency diploma for Connecticut adults. Enfield offers many opportunities for students to gain the skills necessary to pass the GED ® test. Day and evening classes are available, as well as day and evening learning labs. The class schedule is available on pages 14 and 15.
GED testing will be administered in Enfield on scheduled evenings and Saturdays. Prior to registering for the exam, students must complete practice tests in all four subject areas. The cost of each practice test is $ 7.99. This fee will be waived for students who are enrolled in Enfield Adult Education GED program. Connecticut Statute requires all students to meet with the Adult Education GED Registrar / Facilitator prior to registering for their GED ® exam. To register for the test, go to www. GED. com.

There are three different diploma options at Enfield Adult Education. You must be a Connecticut resident, 17 years of age and officially withdrawn from school to enroll in any program. Proof of residency is required. Call( 860) 763-7032 to schedule a meeting with a counselor TODAY to see which program might be best for you. Orientation and Enrollments every Tuesday by appointment throughout the school year.
