INTRODUCTION
This magazine will introduce my Interior
Major Project which is based around
dance and movement and creating a
centralised space for the dance community
in Portsmouth. This magazine will be split
into 3 sections, Position, Place and Purpose.
The Position section of the magazine will
explore further reading into design theory to
decide that inspire me and inform my view of
the industry.
the site and structure of my chosen building. I
will also demonstrate the importance of dance
to the local community and how my chosen
building will be suitable for its purpose.
Finally the purpose section will explain my
design concept and the spaces that will
support the activities for the users of the
design.
The place section will explore the history of Old
Portsmouth and Southsea. and I will analyse
