OLIVE  TREES  IN  APULIA     The State Forestry corps alvays protects the forest of olive trees in Apulia, the largest national olive heritage. The Apulia region preserves about one third of the National olive heritage. The olive in this territory often assumes majestic proportions and forms the characteristic element of the Apulian landscape, representing a value that needs care and protection. The Corpo forestale dello Stato throughout its history has been continuously committed on the Apulian territory to obstruct thefts and the illegal destruction of olive trees, as well as the irregular transferring over region of centuries-old trees.
