Endangered animals that managed to reach 2019
Mammals, reptiles and amphibians. Big beasts and tiny insects. Each year, hundreds of animals are endangered due to climate change and the impact of human activity. In 2018, two new species, the orange tarantula and the Durell gecko, have entered the latest update of the Red List of Species Threatened by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), an organization formed by international public institutions and civil society that studies the world's flora and fauna and its evolution.
