DETERMINATION OF DIFFICULTIES OF NURSES IN
THE USE OF MEDICAL LINES IN PEDIATRIC
SERVICES
Background and aims This study aimed to determine the difficulties of nurses and
patients using multiple medical line in the services of children aged 0-18 years.
Methods The descriptive and cross-sectional study consists of all the children and
nurses working in these units at a university between the ages of 0-18, with any or
all of the medical lines. The G*Power packet program was used for the power of
the study and the sample size was set at 400 children with 99% power. The number
of nurses participating in the study is 84. Results The study was carried out by
observing 809 line over a total of 400 patients. In the study, the entanglement of
the medical devices was determined as 40.5%. There was a statistically significant
relationship between the level of medication and the level of activity and number
of lines in children.
