What are you most looking forward to this upcoming season ?
It ’ s not every day that you get to see award-winning acts in such a small and intimate setting . This year alone , we ’ ve had the honor of welcoming some of the biggest names in entertainment to our theater . Acts like Mavis Staples , AJ Croce , Richard Thompson and Andy Summers , just to name a few . I am looking forward to welcoming many more incredible acts during this fall and winter . Our calendar is filled with a wide array of entertainment including acts such as Macy Gray , Amy Grant , Colin Quinn , The Fixx and John Hiatt .
What do you hope to see in the future in terms of performances and events ?
These last few years haven ’ t been easy for the theater ( or any of us ). We ’ re so pleased to have a full calendar again and we ’ re grateful to all our patrons , supporters , volunteers and staff who have helped us navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic , keep our doors open and come back stronger than ever . For the future , I hope the Odeum can continue to bring outstanding acts to Rhode Island . We are already working on our 2024 calendar and it ’ s looking better than ever with an exciting and diverse number of musical performances , comedies and more .
What ’ s the most exciting part of your role as General Manager ?
There is something special and powerful about bringing people together and creating a memorable experience . For me , the most exciting part about my role as general manager of the Odeum is being involved with every show from beginning to end . There is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes , from when a show is booked to when it finally takes place , but all of the hard work pays off .
