RISD Museum presents Christine Sun Kim: Forty-Eighth Annual Gail Silver Memorial Lecture
OCT. 28: The forty-eighth annual Gail Silver Memorial Lecture will be presented by Berlin-based American artist Christine Sun Kim, whose interdisciplinary practice explores communication, language and connection. Working across drawing, performance, video and large-scale murals, Kim uses musical notation, infographics and language— including American Sign Language( ASL) and written English— to consider how we communicate and interpret the world around us. In this lecture, Kim will reflect on her artistic practice and the ideas that shape it. ASL interpretation will be provided. Registration required. 6:30 – 8 p. m.
