After that whole experience I said enough is enough I decided to go to the barber college. It was there that I was finally looked at as somebody that could do more then half my class. I met the one man who was my match and really didn't care what I had between my legs. It felt good to be recognized as the person I already knew I was. I was sent out to several barbershops to check out where I wanted to work. However I found no place that I wanted to be in Albuquerque every shop I walked into with the exception of one maybe two it was the kind of attitude like oh she's here for my entertainment. What most people don't know about me is I hate being underestimated. There was so much talent out there that I wanted to learn from but couldn't because all it was gonna be was a big waste of my time. These guys don't look at you as equal. Nor do they want you to excel passed them. It's very rare that I to this day find one with the exception to my instructor that has some ulterior motive. Long story short I chose to work at the oldest barbershop in Santa Fe my hometown. There was nothing but old grumpy men that could care less what I did. So I did what I do best I shot for the stars. And today I own my own barbershop that will soon be the hottest thing around. Is it easy being a woman in a man's world. By far no. But it's never been a bore and I love what I do. I'm determined to change mindsets of what a woman can bring to a barbershop. We bring balance, tenderness, but most of all we are the personality. Don't ever let anyone limit you. You can do whatever you put your mind to
