Once we reach a certain age or incounter certain illness we become weak and depend on others to help care for us,but people think that just because they are 60 to 100 years old that they can take care of them self or someone will deal with it . Often they end up in a nursing home instead because the family won't or can't make time to take care of the one person who took care of them. Maybe they just think its too much work. It angers me that people could abandon their mother and or Father but sad to say it happens everyday... to the former beauty queen and senator or just the lady down the street. Luckily there are some people with hearts that dress your mom and dad feed them take them to appointments. Hugs and hello and goodnight everyday. Watching out for them. Next time you see an elderly person alone struggling in a store or trying to cross the street stop and help because you are helping someone who may not have anyone else... AMY BARRERAS NMB.
