Poetry from the soul

As the sun begins to set, and the night comes upon us, the mind begins to free itself, unlocking the stories held within. Day in and day out, we walk among the world, locking secrets inside ourselves, not wanting to share the haul. As the moon wakes itself, and the sun it goes to sleep, the key to your heart is presented, producing diamonds from the deep. You look to free yourself, tired of holding it all in, but there is no one with which to confide, for their lips all part with ease and grin. You pray for a release, to no longer be held a slave, so you spill your innermost thoughts, like freeing a lion from a cage. Peace comes upon you, as words flow forth from your chest, lie down and close your eyes, you have finally found your rest.
