For my entire art career , I have worked in “ series ” using the myriad of techniques available in encaustics . The two common threads that run throughout have been plants and animals : flora and fauna . For example , Plant Whispers , Binding Ways , Beetles , Siphonriphora , Japanese series , Leafy Sea Dragons , Rusted , Weavings , and so on , all incorporate plants , animals , or both . My latest series is called Endangered Species , the subject being improvisational jellyfish .
