WHY ARE BEES DISAPPEARING? We have all heard about the drastic decline in the Bee population around the world, and researchers are finding many different scenarios. There is not one simple explanation and as the bee populations continue to fall, more diverse reasons are being discovered. One thing is for sure, it is a major problem in America and Europe for farmers and bee keepers, as well as the affects seen on native bees. As encaustic artists who use primarily beeswax, we have the honor of using a time-honored tradition in our creations. It is with this in mind, that we are listing a few sites for you to peruse, with the simple hope to raise consciousness of the plight of our bees. As natures problems arise, whether due to humans or not; a stronger focus for solutions arise.
