Behind
the
Lens
As I sip my coffee and reflect on life; I recall the moment I decided to pick up
the camera. It was a cold, winters’ night in January, 2017. I took a snapshot of
a building near my home; it was at this exact moment I knew I wanted to do
this. I had minimal knowledge of composition and framing at the time, so
I committed to learning the basics. I began studying the masters of Photog-
raphy such as Henri Cartier-Bresson, Vivian Maier, Gordon Parks and Eric
Kim as a contemporary influence. Although I am fairly new to this medium;
documenting humanity through the lens is a lifelong commitment, not a
passing trend. In perspective, the camera is the extension to my ever-present
curiosity...
Til’ another day,
