Class of 2020
The EN30 under Thirty Class of 2020 was revealed at a hybrid event at ODEON Leicester Square , London , 4 November .
In keeping with the requirements of the age , half the group were at the COVIDsecure event in person , while the other half joined us remotely on the cinema ’ s giant screen .
Against all the odds , EN decided to press ahead with the event in 2020 as we are of the view that it has never been more important to celebrate aspiring talent , especially at a time of so much uncertainty .
Despite the exhibitions industry facing the greatest crisis it has ever known , the selected 30 ( and countless more who did not make the final cut ) have demonstrated resilience in the face of adversity , versatility and determination . 2020 has not been the year we had wanted , and with little to no exhibitions taking place , the Class of 2020 have not sat idly by .
But let us not dwell on this negative nonsense , the EN30 under Thirty is a celebration of excellence , and provides a tough test for our leaders in waiting .
We can ’ t afford to be sitting around waiting for fate to be served to us , as an industry we must challenge , fight our corner , and lead the way to grow all sectors . That is what we do , and that is something I am certain the Class of 2020 will relish , I am sure .
