Within 6 months of launch I also released a free version of ‘iMommy’ with ads and had started showing a profit.
Fast forward to today and ‘iMommy’ is in the top 30 of the kids under 5 category and ranked in over 90 countries. I am continuing to grow, in a few weeks time I will have many fun and interesting sequels to iMommy and also the first iMommy Teddy Bear! I’ve even written an EBook ‘How to make your app idea a reality’ to help others.
It would take a second article for me to go into detail about how I got to this point but needless to say if you research, stay focused and have patience you will go far. I’m happy to say that although I did eventually get laid off from that job, it was the best thing that could have happened to me. I now make much more running my own company and feel more empowered and fulfilled than I ever have.
It’s amazing what you can do when you believe in yourself.
