HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) makes sure that the money is available to
fund the UK's public services. Its responsible for collecting around £475.6
billion of tax from UK businesses and individuals as well as administering
National Insurance, Student Loans, tax credits and ensuring compliance
with the national minimum wage.
The Tax Specialist Programme is a structured four-year course built around
a combination of on-the-job skills-building, in-class training, and selfdirected study. On commencement of the programme employees will
receive a starting salary of approximately £27k. Upon successful
completion, trainees can expect a salary of £46,983. The recruitment
process is comprised of three stages; initial application, online testing and a
one day assessment centre. Applications close on 26th November 2014.
