The Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) ensures that
innovative science and technology contribute to the defence and security of
the UK. We are an executive agency, sponsored by the Ministry of Defence.
Recruiting from selected subjects:
Biosciences,Computing, EDA,
Maths, Physical Sciences, Sport
and Exercise Science, Law, Politics,
Psychology and SSPSSR.
We recruit around 80 graduates and offer around 150 student-placement
opportunities every year from a wide-range of scientific, technology,
engineering and mathematic disciplines and backgrounds.
Usually graduates work in one of the following areas:
• graduate analyst: covering analysis, operational research, technology
and social science
• graduate engineer: covering engineering and technology
• graduate scientist: covering science, social science, technology,
information science, mathematics and statistics.

EmployAbility is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to assisting students
and graduates who have a disability, dyslexia, long term illness or mental
health condition into employment.
We offer support, guidance and advice throughout the recruitment process,
from how to make successful applications and CVs, to approaching
interviews and assessment centres, as well as providing pertinent
information on disclosure of disability and information on your adjustment
requirements. We offer a range of internship and graduate programmes
with leading employers including Google, Wellcome Trust, Dow, Shell,
Goldman Sachs, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, National
Audit Office, Herbert Smith and The Guardian.
