MAY 2014

We caught up with Charles to ask about his view on the upcoming film. "I'm very pleased with my work", he replied. "I hope that it will keep the audience entertained and captivated and I hope that I have been able to put a unique spin on pranking comedy". A sequel to Bride 2 Be has already been planned and put forward by Walrus Productions, who the the leading institution behind the production of the films. When asked about the details of the sequel, Charles replied with "that's for me to know and you to find out. I hope it will be as good as what I hope the first film to be, but I can't reveal too many details right now. What I can say is that it is likely to be based around the couple's honeymoon somewhere exotic". The sequel to Bride 2 Be will begin filming in February 2015.

I believe that overall the ideas shown in the film have the ability to be entertaining, humorous and a great laugh for the audience. People will laugh for ages at the stupidity of how Charlotte acts and how she thinks things through. However, some of the pranks that are shown are not as effective as they could be. Several ideas could be much more effective if they had been shot in a way that suggests that the whole thing wasn't staged and that it looks realistic and genuine. Overall a good film but it needs more polishing off in order for it to be a worldwide phenomenon.

While some aspects of the film and whitty and humorous, some of the pranks pulled during the film are crude and over the top, for example Charlotte is dared by her half-drunk chauffeur to go around slapping old mens' backsides. Not only could this upset the people involved but could also influence more people to laugh at the older generation. Some of the jokes made by the cast are considered cheesy and not funny compared to some of the other ideas that are used in the film. On top of all that, the idea of a comedic male dressed as a woman could offend some people who view this as a serious matter and may end up feeling as though they are being insulted and laughed at.
