region that manages to resume in itself the ideal characteristics for a
special holiday in the tranquility of its nature and its old villages.
In the Marche is present a splendid coastal tract which extends for 180
kilometers from the point of Gabicce Mare to the mouth of the river Tronto. The
Marche shore, facing the blue Adriatic Sea, constituted of alternating shingle, rocky
and sandy beaches, reaches the peak of its beauty in the Riviera del Conero.
This area, full of white bays which can often only be reached by boat or along paths
cut into the green thick Mediterranean maquis, has been often awarded the Euro-
pean Blue Flag for its beaches.
