region of considerable charm, Veneto extends from
the beautiful Dolomites to the Adriatic Sea, a rich and
variegated territory where the landscape ranges from
mountain to coast, from lagoon to verdant plains with
abundant waterways.
A land to live in, love and discover. It puts everyone in agreement
thanks to its many tourist attractions, with the stupendous natural
landscapes, traditional historical-artistic culture, spas and fine cuisi-
ne. Just the very name of its regional capital says it all: Venice.
The sweet and romantic Venice sung by poets and writers from
around the world, the Venice of Thomas Mann and Casanova, the
Venice of gondoliers and the magnificent Carnival. Without forget-
ting Lake Garda which, with its resorts along the eastern shore, the
famous “Riviera degli Ulivi”, is the paradise of sailing, windsurfing
and kite-surfing, paragliding, mountain biking, hiking and Nordic
walking, horse-riding, sport fishing and golf.
To discover this region means also to appreciate its traditional fla-
vours, its wines, cheeses, typical dishes and sweets, handmade
by local patisseries. The cultural calendar of this area abounds in
events, with numerous folkloristic festivals and country feasts but,
in particular, two events are not to be missed: the Biennale and the
aforementioned famous Carnival.
