In 2012, Indonesia ranked 3rd in the world in terms of geothermal energy output, preceded only by the U.S. and the Philippines. Furthermore,
the country occupies the 5th place among the countries producing biodiesel - Indonesia remains behind the U.S., Argentina, Germany/Brazil
and France. It is also the 9th largest producers of biofuel. By 2025, the government has set as a goal to increase the production of renewable
energy from 16% in 2011 to 26%.
