In 2011, it rose further beyond 7.0% of GDP (the breakdown was 3.9% for rubber and plastics and 3.6% for chemicals and chemical products) and is expected to rise further in the coming years. The sector's sales growth remained unharmed, as well in line with the high prices of other important product groups, e.g. agricultural produce.
