A letter from the EGF Chairman
Dear Members,
With summer upon us, the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) Board of Directors hopes that everyone is having a great year.
Last month the EGF hosted the season ending EGF Order of Merit Championship. This prestigious event saw some of the best amateur golfers within the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Congratulation to Rayhaan Thomas, Kim Chiang, and Tiago Lobo on winning this event in their respected divisions. Also a big congratulation goes out to all EGF Order of Merit Season winners. It is great to see so much young talent at the top of these leaderboards.
The month of May was also a great month for the National Junior Development Program (NJDP). With the help from Academia Management Solutions International (AMSI) the EGF was able to introduce the game of golf to over 70 different Emirati students. The EGF and NJDP has a goal to identify and develop young UAE National Golfers while building good character through the structure of the rules from the game of golf. This was a big step in reaching that goal.
Finally, summer is here and UAE Golf Clubs have great promotions to intrigue golfers. Be sure to take advantage of all offers and continue supporting the game of golf during the summer months.
