The Lockless Door

A lockless door is, yeah, pretty scary. But it also represents a dare, or a sort of bold declaration that you aren't afraid of what is beyond those unlocked hinges. This poem triggers the daredevil side of me that yearns to laugh and cry with no regrets and to stride through life with confidence and pride. This poem spoke to me of a silent dare to live not in hiding, but out in the open. And in this openness, all sorts of quiet opportunities could bless me, but I would never know unless I stepped through that lockless door.
