#3- Jimmy Page
Jimmy Page was born in west London suburb of Hesston on January 9, 1944. Jimmy Page started playing his first instruments at the age of 12 years. At his early life Jimmy was inspired by many musicians like Scotty Moore and James Burton, who both played on recordings made by Elvis Presley. Jimmy started playing on talent shows with other guys, he said he had difficulties finding other musicians. In the 1960s there was a band called the Yardbirds, were Eric Clapton played, but he declined to keep playing for some reasons and after Eric quit they offered his spot to Jimmy Page. After some time playing in the Yardbirds and tours Jimmy and some other musicians chose a name for their new band which was called “Led zeppelin”.
Led zeppelin is considered as the progenitor of heavy metal and hard rock. Also Led zeppelin is one of the best-selling music groups in the history of audio recording and the band was very popular at their time before they broke up in 1980 following death of John Bonham the drummer of the band.
In conclusion, the best guitar players were not just people who played well, but perhaps is also related…anyway, people who are considered as the best guitarists were great innovators at their time, they used to create new styles of music and techniques that inspire many other great musicians through the time and we remember them for that.
