This looks like a boot camp. The marks are from permanent markers. Because fun.
We have an obstacles course set before us. Mine entails dirt and canned food, with ketchup and mustard
held at ready. At the signal, we have to move forwards towards our imminent contamination. We go in
pairs, as not to be so frightened, but there is so many of them it makes no difference. They give it all
they’ve got – ketchup, mustard, water, canned food, spaghetti and feathers. Can’t forget the feathers. We
also get party hats as beaks and then we have to sing a song. Then is our initiation finally complete.
