We can say Spain is the paradise of the architecture. There are a lot of landmarks, monuments and buildings with lots of different styles. Our country was invaded by the Arabs who settled here for centuries. That is the reason why there are a lot of reminiscences of their legacy. In Andalucía, for example, we can find La Alhambra in Granada. The Arabs writers used to compare Granada to a big Crown with the Alhambra as the main diamond. The Court of the Lions and the Palace of Generalife are beautiful. In Córdoba you can find la Mezquita, which can be recognized in any photo because of its red and white arcs. In Seville, we find La Giralda and El Alcázar whose visit is a real nice experience to your eyes.
In Burgos, there is the Holy Church Cathedral Metropolitan Basilica of Santa Maria. It is gorgeous gothic baroque church which was inspired in Paris and Reims’ cathedrals. In the cathedral, there remain works of extraordinary artists. Inside you can also find the graves of El Cid Campeador and her wife, Jimena.
The Walls of Ávila is a Romanesque military fence that surrounds the old town of Ávila. The old town, the wall and churches have been declared Patrimony of the Humanity. The walls are the universal symbol and most outstanding monument that welcomes the city of Avila. Its importance derives from being the medieval walled enclosure better preserved of Spain and probably of all Europe
Roque Nublo( GRAN CANARIA) It is located in the village called Tejeda( considered to be one of the most beautiful villages in Spain). Roque Nublo is one of the main symbols in the island and it is declared National Monument.
