History of our School
HIGH SCHOOL
Our school started as a Anatolian High school in 2010 . Then in 2014 it turned into a Science High school . The school ’ s name came from its founder ’ s name Dr . Ahmet Sebahattin Akyüz .
The School
In the school we have 35 classrooms . In every classroom there are 30 students . There are about 350 students in our school . There are also 4 labaratuaries . In those laboratories we do experiments . We have a smartboard in all our classes . Our school is outside the town . It ’ s very near to hospital . We have Atatürk ’ s bust . We have a meeting in front of the school before the lessons start . In the entrance of the school we have table tennis . We often have table tennis tournaments . There are places to sit just next to the huge chess board we have . Apart from the chess board , there is a canteen . Some of the students have their lunch in the canteen but some of the students have their lunch in dormitory ’ s refectory . We don ’ t have a sports saloon but we managed to have a sports area that we do exercises .
There is one place that every student loves in our school . It is the art street . In the art street we can paint , we can play the piano , play the guitar and we can relax in the art street whenever we want . We exhibit the paintings that the students drew in our corridors . We don ’ t just draw paintings but also some of the students make sculptures . You can see our artroom in the picture .
Out Of School
There is an area for basketball and football in the garden There is a dormitory next to the school . There are about 100 students staying in the dormitory . It has 3 floors and two entrances . There is a dining hall on the first floor . Unfortunately , our football and volleyball courts are not seperate so the students sometimes debate for the field . You can see our sports area in the next picture .
