One of the worst times for our school has to be the Second World War. It was the time, when
the Czech school was closed. Instead, German school was placed there. At the end of the war
the school building served as a war lazaret.
After the war everything started slowly becoming better. It was not sure if the grammar
school would be restored, but eventually it was, thanks to the principal Ladislav Nečásek. It
was not an easy ride for the principal Nečásek and his 12 colleagues. There were not many
school supplies and if yes, they usually were given to them by German colleagues or
borrowed. Thanks to their pedagogical abilities, they made it through the dark times and now
we can write this article about the history of our school.
