VANILLA CRESCENTS
The time of baking Christmas cookies has begun. And I baked vanilla crescents yesterday. They’ re typical cookies for the Czech Republic and also they are my favourite! And they are easy to make. I would like to share this recipe with you, because you must try it. So let’ s start with the recipe!!
You need:
• 2 yolks
• 80g walnuts
• 280g flour
• 80g icing sugar
• 200g butter
Put the flour and sugar into a bowl and mix it. Then add the walnuts and butter. Knead the dough. Leave the dough in a fridge for 1hour. Preheat the oven to 180 º C / 350 º F.
After that make the crescents and bake for 10 minutes. Cover them in the icing sugar mixed with vanilla sugar when they’ re still hot. Let them chill in a dry place for a week or two, they will be better!
Bon appetite!( Z. N.)
