After FHTSA Elvis states that, "The crowd is one of the most fantasic crowds that we have worked for." Let's be honest, to sit through this show, they were. Elvis ends the show the way he begins it: sleepwalking through a song. Although, with the amount of times I've heard "Can't Help Falling In Love", I can't tell if this is good, bad or indifferent!
And with that the band strikes up and the closing vamp is underway. One must remember that we can now look at Elvis concerts in a diffrent light as to how they were back in the summer of 1976. However alarm bells must have been sounding during this show, let alone this tour, that all was not well with Elvis. In little over a year he would be gone. I'm glad he left us with better shows than he put on here.
If anything, this disc is a record of the show that Elvis played in the summer of 76. Nothing more, nothing less. There is very little of entertainment on this - it should never have been relased.
