The Advancement of Technology and You

In the age of technology, things are much different. It's almost hard to believe that people either wrote letters to loved ones, or called heir house phone every once in a while, when now people can communicate one thousand different ways. Technology is so advanced, that certain jobs won't consider you if you do not have basic computer software and internet knowledge.

Even while reading excerpts on how one can revamp his or her list of credentials, the wording is very specific.

"The best approach is to think of ways that your technical accomplishments contributed to your company's ability to reach its goals (Pratt, 2012)."

I know what your thinking, "Techincal accomplishments?" What does that even mean?" It means that you were able to make a flyer through photoshop, or you knew how to make a functioning spreadsheet, or you knew how to make a website from scratch. This does not mean you have to become the next Steve Urkely playing with gadgets and having science expereiments, but it does mean you may have to invest more time in broadening your current technology knowledge as it will only help you.
