Spotlight: Businessweek.com Says Young Entrepreneur's
Are Movin' On Up!
The American economy will get better...eventually. The new generation of twenty somethings, know how to move on and move out! As we slowly climb to the top of the money mountain, more and more of us are finding our markets overseas, using social and environmental issues as a platform. John Tozzi talks about 25 year old Lesly Silverton who engineered high-end electronics in order for the United States to create energy efficient chargers and lamps for underdeveloped countries. (Tozzi, 2011)
"'It’s a little bit different because you’re operating on higher volume, lower margins than you would if you were selling to the U.S.,” says Silverthorn. “But it’s an incredibly large market opportunity (Tozzi, 2011).'"
Even though there is still a long way to go, young entrepreneur's can make a lane for themselves, and continue to thrive.
