Tuesday
God extended His mercy to us even before
we were born, and before we acknowledged our need for His forgiveness. Without our Lord’s sacrifice on the cross, we
could not have a relationship with God.
Now, because of Christ’s willingness to die
in our place, we can have a deep intimacy
with the God who loves us unconditionally.

Thank God today for His great mercy and
the love He unconditionally shows you.
Wednesday
“The mercy God shows to us is the motivation for us to show mercy to others. Whenever you’re hurt by someone, you have a
choice to make: Will I use my energy and
emotions for retaliation or for resolution?
You can’t do both.”
Rick Warren
Feeling angry and wanting revenge or
retaliating against someone when you are
hurt is not good for you. Those feelings will
make you sick and have a negative impact
on your life and your well being. Choose
mercy and forgiveness, you will be a better
person for it.
Thursday
“I have a home in Holland for victims of the
war. Those who have been able to forgive their former enemies have been able
to rebuild their lives, no matter what the
physical scars. Those, however, who have
nursed their bitterness remain invalids. We,
as Christians, have every reason to forgive
each other, for our God richly lavishes His
mercy on us—if we only ask Him.” Corrie ten Boom
Friday
God gave His only Son to die in our place.
That is mercy beyond comprehension, beyond description. How, then, can we ever
refuse to give mercy to others when we
have received so much mercy ourselves?
