Dear Reader,
In this winter season I am reminded that just as
the seasons on earth change so too do the spiritual seasons change. You might find yourself for
instance in a season that very much reflects the
cold winter that we are in at the moment. During times like these it is very important to focus
your eyes on God. It is His strength that will pull
you through no matter where you are or what
you are going through.
Paul reminds us that even in the darkest circumstances God is with us, and we have to give
thanks to Him for everything.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s
will for you in Christ Jesus.”
During difficult times we so easily fall back and
look at all our problems or hurt or things that
concern us and then we take our eyes off Jesus
and put our focus on our situation. I really like
the saying: “Don’t tell God how big your problem is, tell your problem how BIG YOUR GOD is!”
When you go to Jesus and tell Him how you feel,
what it is that plagues you, you can be sure He
listens and wants to help. Leave it at His feet,
give it Him.
pens is used by God for your good. God can take
any situation and turn it around in a heartbeat.
Remember to put your focus on God, focus on
Him and His goodness, love, grace and mercy.
And give thanks through everything. There is
always something to be thankful for!
Romans 8:28
“And we know that in all things God works for the
good of those who love Him, who have been called
according to His purpose.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1
“There is a time for everything, and a season for
every activity under the heavens.”
Ecclesiastes 3:11
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He
has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no
one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”
