Feeling concerned I took her to our GP and after
much testing including a neurological exam and
brain scan a diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease was
made and upon returning home she started taking prescribed Parkinson’s medication.
and then their breakthrough came: The many
symptoms of Parkinson’s disease left my mother,
some at that time and others as time and prayer
went on. They are still abiding in the Word and
continuing prayer now.
My mum did not get better. She started getting
worse and displaying further symptoms of the
disease. She had swallowing difficulties, loss
of balance, cognitive issues, anxiety, difficulty
writing, she couldn’t get up out of the bed in the
morning, excessive tiredness, speech changes,
constipation and the biggest concern of all she
lost all control over her bladder.
She can walk lifting both feet off the ground,
but still at a slow pace. All tremors have gone.
Her facial expressions have come back. She no
longer has swallowing difficulties, no more loss
of balance. She no longer freezes when walking.
She can get up out of bed without any assistance. She is no longer tired all the time. Her
speech is normal. Constipation has left her and
for us the biggest victory she has regained 90%
control of her bladder as it still leaks a bit from
time to time.
We all found ourselves on our
knees crying out to God to
heal mum.
The next few months of my parents’ lives proved
to be very trying ones. My parents were consumed by concerns that Parkinson’s disease
would interfere with the life they were currently
living and plans they had for their future. My
Mother would imagine the future and think
about whether she would be able to walk, talk,
eat or take care of herself.
They found themselves asking the overwhelming
question; WHY?
Why was this happening to them?
They went through role conflict issues, feeling
confused and frustrated with the daily fluctuations in symptoms, needing to re-evaluate who
is responsible for what tasks in the family and
assuming new roles.
My father felt the need and urgency arise inside
of him to go deeper in the Lord. After searching
and studying the word my father started reading
testimonies of other fellow believers in Christ
Jesus. He came across powerful testimonies
of healing which lifted his faith and hope in the
Lord.
He started to pray for my mother four times a
day. They prayed for 32 weeks four times a day

I believe a revival has started
in their lives.
This revival has been proven by the fruit in their
lives. I say thank you to the Lord. Because of His
Grace He poured out His Spirit to bring Glory to
the Father. I thank the Lord for doing the supernatural deeds of God through the Holy Spirit
using my father as a vessel in the Name of Jesus
Christ. I thank the Lord for strengthening my
parents to persevere and not give up, and I thank
God for the manifestations we already see.
I hold fast with them to the hope in Jesus Christ
and say thank you in advance for the full recovery and deliverance of my mother.
I love the words of John 15, this word sums up
their lives at the moment to me.
John 15
The Vine and the Branches
15 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears
no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he
prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. 3 You
are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you.
No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain
in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you
remain in me.
