Over the past few months, we have been extraordinarily blessed with particular homes as places of "rest and retreat", three weeks in a house in the forest near Daylesford was particularly revitalizing. We have learned that the care and feeding of four legged pets is extremely important to people and can be both a joy and hard work for us. And I am allergic to hay! We have experienced people's wholehearted trust in leaving us to be responsible for all of their worldly goods. Scott has been called to preach the Word of God at many churches and we have both been blessed by being able to fellowship with God's people in many places in Victoria. And now we are 61! As one chapter of our life closes, another opens we look to a new ministry in 2015. As of this writing, God has not yet revealed to us where that might be. But we continue to lean on Him for all of our care and provision. We have been accommodated in some beautiful homes in the past ten months, having been “professional” house-sitters in more than eight different houses. My prayer is that God would bless us with a ministry that will fit perfectly with our gifts and abilities and that we would have a place to call “home” when we arrive. We have always commented on how extraordinary our life has been. It hasn’t been without some grief and drama and tears, but it has never been boring. I have not included the struggles of falling pregnant or the spiritual battles of getting Visas to be allowed to live and work in Australia. I have not included the agony of watching our young son struggle to breathe with asthma and allergies developed in Australia, or the heartbreak of watching him struggle through two divorces. Nor have I shared the tears and prayers we both shed for two unbelieving children and their partners. God has a plan for us. He cares for us. He sustains us. He has been with us at every milestone and wherever we are. 2 Chronicles 16:9a For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.” I am happy that you chose me, Lord. And so many years ago planned for me to be wife and partner to the Reverend Scott Kroeger. And then You brought us both to a place to know You. To be Your children and disciples. I look forward to the challenges we will face and our faith in Jesus as the strongest part of this couple known as the Kroegers.` Page 25
