J esus was put to death JUDICIALLY. Sentenced to a judgement in the courts of justice. A legal process whereby a person is put to death by the State as a punishment for a crime. Jesus needed to be judged this way to be punished outside the gates, at a place reserved for capital crimes and offenses. In biblical times the people who lived outside the gates were lepers or others considered to be Unclean. Outside the gate was a place of defilement, uncleanness, impurity, corruption, dirtiness, filthiness, contamination, condemnation, rejection, and the list goes on……………. To share my heart; I have judged myself and felt in condemnation as one being outside the gate. I knew that I was a child of God but somehow something inside of me would make me feel as though I could not fellowship with my Father in Heaven. I would go on my knees in prayer but would feel like I could not pray. In church gatherings I would feel inferior to everyone else. My Faith had grown weak and my hope was uncertain. I felt like the unclean one that must be put outside the gate. Do you feel this way sometimes? Today I want to tell you about God’s grace and mercy for me and you. The Lord quickened my understanding and I realized we are not judged or condemned. John 3:18 “Whoever believes in him is not condemned,” Page 50 Romans 8:1 “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,” We are judged for the way we live. As Christian women who live with a desire within us to lay down our self and live a life for God, we sometimes make mistakes and feel an expression of disapproval, criticism, disappointment, blame…………….., but, we can meet Jesus outside the gate, casting all our care upon Him, for He cares for us. (1 Peter 5:7). With a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, we can have our hearts sprinkled and cleansed from a guilty conscience and have our bodies washed with pure water.(Hebrews 10:22) 1 Corinthians 4:4 “My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me” So even though I may stumble I will not fall for the Lord upholds me with His right hand. (Psalm 37:24).` Thank You Lord for the Precious Blood of Jesus. I proclaim that I am Right before God. Redeemed, Cleansed and Sanctified!!
