Scriptures
James 2:1-5
Deuternonomy 1:17
“My brothers, show no partiality as
you hold the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory. For if
a man wearing a gold ring and fine
clothing comes into your assembly,
and a poor man in shabby clothing
also comes in, and if you pay attention to the one who wears the fine
clothing and say, “You sit here in a
good place,” while you say to the
poor man, “You stand over there,”
or, “Sit down at my feet,” have you
not then made distinctions among
yourselves and become judges with
evil thoughts? Listen, my beloved
brothers, has not God chosen those
who are poor in the world to be rich
in faith and heirs of the kingdom,
which he has promised to those who
love him?”
“You shall not be partial in judgment. You shall hear the small and
the great alike. You shall not be
intimidated by anyone, for the judgment is God’s. And the case that is
too hard for you, you shall bring to
me, and I will hear it.”
John 7:24
“Do not judge by appearances, but
judge with right judgment.”
Luke 6:37
“Judge not, and you will not be
judged; condemn not, and you will
not be condemned; forgive, and you
will be forgiven”
James 2:13
“For judgment is without mercy to
one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.”
Romans 14:12-13
“So then each of us will give an account of himself to God. Therefore
let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide
never to put a stumbling block or
hindrance in the way of a brother.”
Matthew 7:1-2
“Do not judge, or you too will be
judged. For in the same way you
judge others, you will be judged, and
with the measure you use, it will be
measured to you.”
