FINANCE COMMITTEE: Jed Hewitt, Graham Lockyer, Pete Garnsworthy, Phil Chant and Jackie Herniman. Good afternoon all, I was very happy with a point in the 0-0 draw last Saturday against St. Austell. Buxs banter St Austell finished fourth last term and they will be up there again this season. It was an even first half but I thought we just shaded it after the break and had a penalty shout turned down after Danny Tapp was felled at the death. It has been a tough start as Exmouth, Camelford, St. Austell and Launceston, are all currently in the top 10. Losing James Blake early on was a big blow, and to be honest, it is more a case of having to field those who are available rather than being able to make a selection. With Steve Harris (ill), Troy Membury (work), and also Jesse Howe (banned), we were light on the ground when we visited Camelford in the League two weeks ago. And with Liam Thomas and Ian Wheatley carrying knocks, we were really up against it. To make matters worse, Mike Humphreys received two yellows and then a red and will miss today’s game. I am working hard to try and strengthen the side and hope to make some new signings soon. I am sure today’s visitors, Division 1 West Wadebridge, will be up for this FA Vase first qualifying round, so we must guard against complacency. Enjoy Buxs (Peter Buckingham) .............................................. CLUB TRUSTEES: Alan Cockram, Peter Buckingham, Phil Howe & Pete Garnsworthy. 33
