Mens football in Plymouth and District league for Modbury Rovers and SWEB FC before moving to East Corwall Premier League side Torpoint Athletic in 2006. Moved to the SWPL first team during the 2006-2007 season. Highlight at Torpoint was two consecutive top four finishes and reaching the FA Vase quarter final in 2010-2011. Moved to Elmore AFC as captain at the start of the 2011-2012 season and won Player’s, Manager’s and Supporter’s Player of Year award that year. Represented Devon Mens during the 2012-2013 season. After playing for Elmore and Tiverton Town as a youngster, Buckingham cut his managerial teeth at Elmore in 1990. He spent six years as manager at Bideford, nine years at Elmore, three years at Barnstaple, one year at Willand, and two years at Cullompton before re-joining Elmore at the beginning of last season. As a player he represented the South Western League, and has managed the Western League representative side. Currently he is Devon Under-18 youth team manager and also manages the County senior side.
