Born in Plymouth on September 10,
1978, Adam was the third of four
children.

From a young age it was very apparent he
had a real love for football. After a spell at
Tiverton Town’s youth team playing as a
left back, Adam began to make a name
for himself as a free scoring striker at
Cullompton Rangers. After two very
successful seasons he moved to
Elmore who ultimately provided
the springboard for Adam’s
professional football career.
While playing for Elmore
against Yeovil Town
Reserves in October
2001, he impressed the
watching Yeovil Town
manager Gary Johnson
so much that he signed
a professional contract
with Yeovil Town the
following month and
his professional football
career had finally
begun at the age of 23.
Between 2001 and 2010, Adam made 68
appearances scoring 22 goals for Yeovil;
85 appearances scoring 31 goal for
Hereford United; and 160 appearances
scoring 39 goals for Exeter City.
